As per provision of Section 45 (3) (a) of the Punjab Transparency in Public Procurement Act, 2019 the State Government has established the Directorate of Procurement Policy and Enforcement (DPPE) which shall maintain and update the State Public Procurement Portal (SPP Portal) setup under Section 43 of the Act, to ensure efficiency, economy, transparency, fair and equitable treatment of bidders while promoting competition in the procurement process.

The primary objective of the Portal is to provide a single point access to the information on procurements made across various Procuring Entities covered under the Punjab Transparency in Public Procurement Act, 2019. Each procuring entity shall cause the procurement related information to be published as required under this Act or the rules and guidelines made thereunder on the State Public Procurement Portal (SPP Portal).
